Last night I had to accompany my wife to a show at the Barnyard Theatre in Tygervalley and the sound was quite an experience
I don't know what amplification they use, but on both sides of the stage they had 4 Proel speakers suspended and the volume these things created were quite something! I felt the bass in my stomach and the rest of the frequency range was also well catered for and only once did I hear a hint of distortion.
Yes, the higher frequencies could be better, but after a 3 hour show I did not have any listener's fatigue although the volume levels were high.
Not the type of setup you will find in a "normal" home, but pretty darn good for a "Pro" system. I hear you Martin - properly set up Pro systems do sound good :icon_grovel:
