I've been looking at the Optoma H31. I have an issue with the potential installation spot in that I probably won't be able to mount the pj on the roof, and I probably won't be able to put up a very big screen. Maximum diagonal will be about 1.5-2m across as a result of the slanted thatch roof. I was playing with this calculator:

And it says that there's a minimum distance from the screen, otherwise the image will be too bright. Will the eco-mode reduce that problem somewhat? Low-gain screen? Also, if the biggest I can go is about 1.5m and have the projector on top of a coffee table or similar setup, is it even worth it or should I just be looking at LCD TV's rather?
