I know this has been discussed numerous occasions, and I know this because I have already searched BUT. Tell me where I am incorrect.
I am not certain if I want to upgrade or not but anyway did a search on TV's and now I am keen to do more research. I am currently watching all my stuff on a Sony KDL-46EX500,my room is about 4.5m from the viewing point, with very little ambient light that can get in UNLESS the curtains are open. If I do this Upgrade I think I would be okay to go to about R16k and would like a screen size increase. I do not require smart TV at this stage BUT I can not guarantee I will not require it in the future.
we do 50% / 50% TV Movies, if I do this upgrade I say why not include 3D. from the brief trolling I did on the VS. I found the following:
Projector gives great size but can not be used for TV if you value the Lamp life and cost to replace them.
Plasma best picture quality but not too goot with any ambient light due to glare back and chance of picture burn.
3D Pasive is cheaper to buy new glasses and will create less issue with flickering.
I dont really know much else about TV's I will continue the research but any advise would be great.
I recall many years back there was information that Plasma screens have a life expectancy due to the Plasma GAS was that correct and is it still a valid reason to not look at the PLASMA,
Thanks
