I admittedly know less than nothing about projectors but have been toying/ dreaming about upgrading to a larger screen this year and wondered what the pros and cons are of a projector such as the Sony vpl-hw50es for example vs. a Samsung 65es8000 or Samsung ps64e800gr. The room is all purpose, does have some ambient light and sitting distance to the screen is about 4,5 meters. Viewing is split about 50:50 between movies and tv, I have zero interest in 3d and not bothered much with smart tv either. The pricing seems similar on all 3 so which is the better way to go?
