I got myself a PS3 over the weekend. Connected via HDMI to my Samsung LCD Blu Ray movies look

I am using an optical cable to connect the PS3 to my Yamaha AV receiver for audio for audio but it seems like I am only receiving 2 channel PCM..... ???..... What settings or what do I need to go to receive a Dolby Digital or DTS signal from the PS3 at my receiver?
