PS3 vs PS4

Hi, assuming that the playstation fundis have done their homework on the new PS4, could you kindly give some advice. I'm not big time into games but play occasionally. So the unit will just be used for playing games and the bluray player on my second tv. Is the extra cost worth it for the PS4 or will the PS3 be sufficient? Also keep in my the cost of games of the PS4.
