Loyal B&W lovers - welcome and thank you for coming. Snacks table is to your left, bar is to the right...

Right, so... Upgraditis...

The system (as per my signature), in the living room and bar area, spends 60-70% of its time doing HT, while the remainder is music - relaxed listening, but also socials and parties.

I like the CM7's.. they're not superb, but they do the job well enough till I find a set of CM9/CM10's or 803d's at the right price.

I'm not even itching to upgrade surrounds or rears - I can live with the tonal difference until CM5's and CM1's come down the road...

But I'm thinking I need a change up front. Everything is shiny piano black, barring the LCR600 S3... And while the LCR has balls, it doesn't particularly need said balls as a centre channel with a sub handling everything under 90Hz anyways.

Geo's HTM4 Diamond is calling my name - I'm a slut for a bargain...

So my question: Am I shooting myself in the foot with an 8xxd series centre channel combined with my existing stuff, and if so, should I rather be considering a CM Centre 2? Or would the HTM4 be enough of a marked improvement over the LCR600 to justify the (apparently significant) difference in tweeter tone?

Some days I really consider just selling all of it and starting over.  :p

Thanks in advance, and may the audio gods shine upon your tweeters.
