So here is something to raise the blood pressure, just read an article online about the 20 odd elephant that have been poisoned with cyanide in Zim. Turns out that accusations are flying around that it's the rangers who have been killing them in a dispute over their pay. One ranger taken in for questioning earns "only" $450 a month!
While the FACTS are sketchy, any ranger that poisons an elephant should be shot as he or she would be in Botswana where such perpetrators would be rewarded with the death penalty. Makes me sick to think that one becomes a game ranger because one loves animals, now these guys are killing the very animals they should be protecting. Love to hear others opinions on all of this!
