Since there has been a lot of Squeezebox equipment sold recently and there appears to be a great need for more, I thought I would share my squeezebox replacements with you since I recently lost 2 duets due to a lightning strike and could not replace them.
All three of my units are based on a raspberry Pi computer. One uses as I2S to SPDIF module and the other two I2S DACs. Two are wired and one is wireless.
The wired unit with the SPDIF out:
This one is with a Wifi dongle and I2S DAC:
I quite like the case that I managed to source. It fits the Raspberry Pi add-ons (with a small modification for the SPDIF unit) and fits in quite well with my other audio equipment.
