Hi all,
I'm helping out a mate who's got some entry level car sound stuff that I've put in for him and all is working well, however, the sub sounds horrible! Not surprising, it's built into a crappy basspand box with a perspex front, all for show, not for music. So I want to build a proper small strong sealed box to improve it's performance.
The specs I can find for the sub are:
FS - 36.1hz
Vas - 89.1 litres
Qts - 0.92
Qms - 9.26
Qes - 1.02
Xmax - 4.75mm
Pe - 175W RMS
Re - 3.6ohm
Sd - 506cm squared
Cms - 0.248 x 10 (to the power of negative 3) M/N
Mms - 78.43grams
BI - 7.91 Tm
SPL - 89dB
Can anyone give me a recomended size given these specs please? The manufacturers reckon a sealed box of 1.5 cubic feet is ideal.
I'll be building it with 16mm MDF.
