So im in the process of getting some quotes together for an extension on a room at my house. This is going to become my listening area / lounge.
I am going to build a new stand and move all my gear to the back of the room and keep the front clean with just the projector screen and speakers.
The room is going to be +- 5M x 8M.
I will have to run new speaker cable. My biggest concern is for my front left / right as i want better sound for music, movies can suffer a little bit on the centre it doesnt bother me.
I cannot run the cables along the wall at floor level as there will be a sliding door to contend with so i will have to run them in the ceiling. I am thinking that i will need +-40M of speaker cable.
Currently i am running wireworld Luna16/4 and it works really well in my system. Im not sure if its still available as i havent seen it at our local supplier in East London and to get an answer from them seems to be a challenge. Last time i paid R100 per meter. I understand prices have gone up but im trying to avoid a cable that costs 300+ per meter, multiply that by 40 and you will see why.
Can anybody recommend something in the R100-R150 per meter price range that is decent and worth looking at?
