I've been re-vivifying Witblits's G36 (aka 736) that came via the same route as the A700 he gave to me (http://web.eject.co.za/s8nspawn/hifi/ak/).
The G36 was in much the same condition - left in an abandoned building with decades of weather, exposure and serving time as a pigeon coop.
Finally, the G36 chassis is in a state to record and play (cosmetics on the cabinet still incomplete). It weighs 21kg, so you can't go jogging with it, but it does show that 47 years ago, you could make home recordings better than those which most people are listening to today. It's sounding extremely good.
