Hi All

I found this business downtown in Paarl: http://www.ecycle.co.za/

They'll pick up your e-waste and sort it.

I went past to see how the operation worked, and I saw boxes full of electrolytic capacitors destined for the toxic waste dump. 90% were damaged from being twisted with pliers from the pcb. But a few gems could be salvaged.

These I plan to use in a high powered tube amplifier:

I found some motor start/run caps. I think these are polypropylene,  so should be good for high end power supply?

As you can imagine, there are tons of 220uF 400/450V that comes out of the junked CRT monitors. These are good for tube amplifier power supplies. Free for the taking!
