I've been doing my civil duty to try and like red wine. I'd like to enjoy a glass every evening. But I find it's a bit of hit-and-miss for me. It's worse than maintaining a vinyl playback system! So, someone please help me write the book: Red wine: how she is drunk.
My main problem is when it tastes like meths. Yesterday I opened a bottle of ODD BINs "823" cabernet auvignon 2007. Cost R45 or R55 (don't recall exactly). First glass was great. But the next glass (2hrs later) had that bitter taste. Same bottle. Now, I just read that you've got to let it breathe; is that it? Then I read that it can go off if not drunk immediately. What am I doing wrong? HELP!
