Rega P3-24 vs Rega P5

Hi Guys

I'm not a member of Vinyl SA, probably the best forum to discuss this; but here goes given the number of pro Vinyl guys out here as well.

Acc to a specialist hifi store owner, the new Rega P3-24 comes awfully close to the Rega P5, especially when fitted with a nice MC cartridge. This at a significantly lower price than the P5. Do any of you guys have an opinion on this from own experience?
