I've got this Rega Planar 2 in my possession and I thought that I wanted to tap as much of its potential as possible.
I gave myself some limitations.
I am not allowed to buy anything other than what is in my garage or spares box.
this is what I've got
1 - rega planar 2 - very good condition
2 - Jelco tonearm. - awesome sounding arm and suits the deck very well.
3 - sumiko oyster MM cartridge - brand new
4 - original Rega wall bracket.
what I want to do is add more mass, better dampening and improve the power supply
materials on hand
1 - birch plywood
2 - 12 mm MDF
3 - cherry veneer
4 - Linn Valhalla PSU
5 - various stainless steel screws, nuts and bolts.
6 - 4mm rubber
7 - rubber water pipe
8 - black paint
9 - texture paint
let the fun begin.
