My NAD CD player, which is about three years old now has got a bit cranky, reads discs on and off, sounds like the drivehas gone belly-up - you can hear it cycling endlessly, just shows No Disc most of the time. Am thinking about sourcing a new, good quality drive and asking someone like Nilam to instal it for me. Was just wondering if anyone can give me any constructive advice here, such as where to look for CD drives, cost, etc., so I can maybe take a decision on whether repairing it is worth it? It used to be a great little player, always happy with it, so it seems a pity to just relegate it to an electronics junk heap somewhere.
