I bought a foam surround from USA for my 10" Boston sub woofer.
While gluing it down I got my wife to help by holding one side up, away from the glued area.
She squeezed it with her fingers resulting in dents in the foam. End result was a rumbling
sound at low volume from the dented area. I've tried various methods to get rid of the dents
but have had no success. Prior to ordering this surround I tried a couple of places in Durban for
a suitable replacement but they all seemed slightly over sized.
I read somewhere that, I think, a rubber surround that does not fit can be cut and glued by overlapping.
Short of buying something to find it  not suitable for this, can anyone with experience in replacing surrounds
offer their opinion. It would be most welcome.
