I am fiddling with an old German-made mono valve amp, salvaged from an old FUBAR portable record player.
I intend recapping it, and seeing if I can get it going again.
It uses an "AEG rundfunk gleichrichter e300 c50" rectifier.
The rectifier has only two wires, Blue (-) in from the 250V tap on the power transformer, and red (positive) out into the "circuit".
All the AC/DC rectifiers I have used or built before had 2x AC wires in, and 2x DC (+ and -) out, not just one in and one out.
How, and with what, do I replace this with something modern? The other tap on the power transformer is 6.3v to the valve heaters.
All advice appreciated.
