Some of you might remember my tread about recording from a HD PVR. It is just not possible to record and keep HD content on anything besides the PVR. Now, I do understand, sort of, that they just want to protect their content. Fine with that.

But this screws me when I want to do 100% legal things with my own videos and equipment.
I have a JVC HD camcorder. It has a HDMI out cable for viewing HD directly on your TV. It is my own material, not something I can sell to make a profit out off, and not something I am not allowed to distribute... Now this restrictions are not allowing me to capture and save my own homemade videos in HD. Is this fair? I don't think so. I do believe there must be a way to capture my HD homemade videos on DVD.

Anybody else who has overcome this problem?
