Reticulation options

I promised my wife I'd install reticulation for her garden beds this winter so time has come to investigate options.  Most of the property perimeter has shrubs and/or small trees, roses and some flowers in situ.  Ideally I'd like to automate the reticulation and be able to divide the garden beds into zones, as well as be able to override scheduled watering where weather permits. Of course, being able to control the reticulation schedule from a browser would be a plus, but only if it comes at reasonable cost.

So, to those in the know, any suggestions re what to look for, and also what to avoid?
