After a few weeks of listening to the Revel M106 speakers, I asked the dealer if I could exchange them for a new pair of B&W 606S3’s. They kindly swopped them out at no charge. I came from a pair of B&W 606 S2 anniversary speakers. I wanted to love the Revel’s and they some very unique qualities. They have a highly resolving bass and wonderful transparency but at the expense of warmth and musicality. Maybe they better suited to a AV system for movies. They require extreme care with system matching to extract the best out of them and even then, I am not sure it’s the kind of sound I am looking for. I decided to rather move on now whilst the dealer doesn’t penalize me. I will post another thread with my impressions of the 606 S3 versus the S2 anniversary.
