2 weeks ago, lightning took out my Denon AVR, which is now with the Insurance to be replaced.
So sitting without any sound whatsoever I decided to connect an old and very dusty Rotel RA-930AX.
After a thorough clean, including the selector switches, which were a bit dodgy, the "modest" 30W per channel really surprised me. :2thumbs:
It is, and I will stick to my story, a completely different sound to the "claimed" 80W per channel from the "All Digital AVR".
Relaxed, smooth, balanced, non-fatiguing and silky sound is the only way that I can describe it.
So it is yet again :2thumbs: for "older/analogue" technology.
:winkwink:
