I am a bit confused, never really ventured into Rotel systems. I am trying to connect the turntable but no dedicated phono input. The old uncle that I'm assisting is adamant that the record player worked before using his aux input on his remote. But there is no external phono stage present.
Is this possible at all? Is there a Rotel trick?
I plugged it into the aux port but as expected it plays but very soft... Like it needs a separate phono stage.
Setup is pre/ power combo
RTC940AX

And TT is RP855
