I don't know if it's just me - I doubt it - but seeing Australia beaten at cricket is always something that brings great joy.
It doesn't matter which side it is that beats them - it's always good to see/hear. The main reason lies more with their supporters than their teams/members - they either gloat in victory or whinge in defeat and don't seem to understand the concept of "sportsmanship".
So, with the Proteas having won the first three matches of what is a five-match series - and having done so despite missing some key players - the series is won with two to play and last night's match at Kingsmead provided all the tension I could handle. (The first two matches being a bit one-sided).
Last night's game was highlighted by the two who managed to wrap it up - David Miller and Andile Phelukwayo - with the former, despite a niggling hamstring injury, playing just the right innings at just the right time, while - at the other end - "Lucky" lived up to nickname at the start of his innings and then went on to play an equally important knock. Deciding on the "Man of the Match" must have been tricky... Another significant run-chase which, while of a lesser total, ranks right up there with that game at the Wanderers.
With the series already in the bag, the remaining two matches will probably attract less attention from many, but - for me - the prospect has switched to "can we whitewash them?"...
Congratulations to whole team!
