Hey guys,
I'm having some problems with a 50" B650 Sammy Plasma unit. What happens is, when I switch it on, I don't get any visuals on the screen. Like nothing, totally blank, no menu no anything. If I leave it on for about 20 minutes, it comes alive again.
It's still under warranty (11 months old), so I sent it to Samtech last week. First they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Then I spoke to the tech himself, and he left it off overnight, So the next morning it had the same problem again. They swopped out the powersupply and sent it back. After it was remounted, I switched it on and it worked.
2 days later, the same symptoms.
Have any of you ever heard of a plasma doing this? Can you think what it might be? I spoke to the tech, and he seems stumped. The only change I've made to that system in the last 10 months was adding a Harmony remote, and that I did about 4 weeks ago.
I'm sending it back the monday after next for them to look at it again, but you are such a bunch of bright fellows on this here forum, thought i'd throw a stone in the pond and see what happens. Obviously Samtech doesn't have flipping clue.
