I have a set of Sansui SP150's in pretty decent cosmetic condition. They served some time in my bar area but I figured they look too pretty to be abused that way. I have since replaced them with a set of Sansui SP100's that I didn't mind using for that purpose.
A Google search doesn't really rate these very highly but I do like the solid look of them. I'm just not too excited about the sound, seems to be missing something - to my amateur ears - I'm sure they could do with a bit of TLC.
What are the recommendations with regards to replacing the drivers with newer? The vintage look is great but I don't have too much of an issue to replace the innards if need be.
I've thought about redoing the crossovers but where do I get the right components here in South Africa?
Or, are they really just not worth it?
Many thanks.
