Sansui Turntables.

Hi all.
Does anyone know if higher end Sansui direct drive turntables ever landed on our shores like the SR 838 ?
I once owned a 222 mk2 which I unfortunately sold a long time ago, but would prefer something more upmarket to complete my AU7 rack system.
