This beaut came in with the Sony TA-1150 amp , It plays but the auto return , reject button did not work and also the speed was not constant and it would go haywire as soon as I touched the speed adjustment to adjust it to the correct speed.
Removed, cleaned and re fitted the actuator arm and the little plastic pieces that are supposed to move freely as it did not look clean and voila. No lube on the nipple bit! :groovy:
Pots were a little tricky as I stripped them out and cleaned, but the problem still persisted on both 33 and 45RPM, turned out the actual 33/45 speed selector switch also needed a clean. Locked on speed at the moment and small speed adjustments are now possible with perfect accuracy and the speed is constant now. :groovy:
Next up is the cosmetics, going to make the bottom half matt black and the lid needs a buff.
