I despise dealing with SARS - I go through great effort preparing my return early so I can file on the 1st, for the last five years I've been audited - this year is no different.
They requested all supporting document - I submitted - a week later they came back with a revised assessment, which is exactly the same as the first - and I am still getting the refund, roll on a week later - and still no refund, I give them a call and ask what's up, only to be told that they need someone to sign off the second assessment, which could take up to 30 working days.
They told me the same thing in 2008, it took months to resolve and I eventually had to complain to the SARS Monitoring Office to get something done.
