Some time ago I asked Nelson Pass about his "B1 XFRMR PREAMP".
This was a simple little device with a JFET buffer and a transformer coupled output for zero distortion gain.
The transformer used was the Cinemag CMOB-4 (I think the H variant).
I asked him if he'd send me the schematics, he did. I also asked how you can get balanced outputs.
He replied, saying, "You can have balanced out by using the center tap of the
secondary at ground and taking signal off both ends."
I understand where the secondary centre is, but the last part is confusing me a little.
Could someone please explain?
