I am servicing a TEAC PX-270 turntable, and when I removed the main bearing, and the spindle from the bearing, and cleaned out the old oil (hardened to a grease substance) I found no ball race at the bottom. Often on these tables there is a ball race at the bottom of the bearing well, on which the spindle rests and turns.

Is it correct that this one does not have/need one?
If it does, I will have to get one - what size should it be? I have never measure done before.

All advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
J
