Hi All,
So i have a Samsung Q60R 2019 model and a Denon X2400 with a Shield attached. I use HDMI CEC so all my inputs feeding directly to the receiver and a single cable on the arc port to the TV. I can shutdown and power on the receiver and TV when using the Samsung remote. unfortunately with the Shield it acts weirdly, so i leave it on permanently. The annoying issue is that every time i power the setup, i have to go into the TV source settings and change it to use Media player(Shield) which then allows me to use the remote. Volume works fine its just navigation with the TV remote that i have to change every time i switch it on. Am i missing something? When i switch the TV on, it does default to the correct source as i can see the Shield on the TV but just cant use the remote to navigate.
