Unreliability of supply and price of electricity have escalated to such an extent, that I am seriously considering installing the first phase of a solar power system. Any members with experience to help clarify some questions. I have some serious class A power hungry amplifiers, fed from 30A wall outlets and have done the normally specified power demand calculations. The first phase will probably be only a few LED lights, computers and audio systems, so no stoves and refrigerators. My geyser systems are already off the grid on solar heating. Lastly, I have three phase electricity, and it will be relatively easy to isolate part of the house for solar.
Any detrimental effects that power generated from batteries using pure sine wave inverters can have on sound quality?
Will a 5-6 kVA system be sufficient for starting off with?
What are the best brand inverters to buy for this kind of application?
Can we start venturing towards Li type batteries, or should we go for Lead-acid?
Sharing of any experience would be highly appreciated.
