Hi guys
I will be based in Istanbul for 2 months. I have been there before but only spend a day going around so I don't know much about the city. The Grand Bazaar is a shopping paradise for some people but not for me. I went in every shop there and I came out with very sore feet and I found nothing that interested me especially because of the high number of Fong Kongs (ciunterfeit goods) there.
I will be based on the European side of the city as our office is based there but I think access to the Asian side is a stone throw away. Things I would like to know where to find:
1. Hifi obviously. Where can I get some stuff cheaper than here in Zumaland. Maybe I can get my hands on some nice cables at a decent price
2. Tailors. I hear there's places where you walk in and get measured for nice suits which are ready in a day or two at a very nice price
3. Shoes
4. I saw nice rugs at the bazaar last time I was there. The prices were cheaper than here but I am sure they were still more than what they really are because they knew I was a tourist.
I am sure there may be some nice stuff to do and buy there. Suggestions are welcome
