For those in the automotive know, I'd like some input please: over the next 6 months I will need some additional hauling capability from time to time where my sedan will just not suffice. Hiring a bakkie will cost too much for such a period and a trailer will be too impractical with my current situation.
I therefore mused the option of just buying a cheap old bakkie (e.g. Datsun 1200) in the R15k-R25k region for the period and just flogging it afterwards for the same or close to what I paid, which should be easy in that price bracket. However, the dubious pedigree of such dogs from the Tree definitely will only end up in remorse and nett loss so I won't even go there; an owner and vehicle of some repute is required.
Any thoughts?
