Hi Gents
Please remove this post if it was already discussed and kindly point me to the thread?
My key question: does your short-term insurance cover kit that you bought second-hand? Like items from friends, family, off the forum, avsa, etc.?
My insurer insists on a proof of purchase together with photos of every items. But the most important is proof of ownership with an invoice. Obviously, with all my kit purchased as used, I'm screwed when it comes to the above...
I recently gave away a tv during an armed robbery and if I did not have it invoice, the claim would not be approved.
Do your insurers have the same t's & c's?
How do you deal with it?
I'm really concerned about this. With load shedding opportunities for burglaries are plenty and risk is high.
I would appreciate any advice.
Thx!
Nico
