Hi all.

I always had some assumption which I never bothered to double check.
In reading the Doogle thread on the 1.5's I realised that it's not perhaps a generally true assumption.
So I would like to have opinions and experiences.

Let's assume a general typical boxed / ported tyoe design at least of 2 - 4 way speakers ( call it conventionals if you like).

So, my thinking was always that whatever room size re commendations are made that these are generally based on a dedicated specially treated room.
And hense , my thinking was always that the same speaker would be better off if I doubled that size or at least .5 times bigger...
I always thought that in that way the room treatment becomes far less relevant assuming one has placement rights in that room...

How far is this thinking off the mark ?
Also , the measuring guys , would a speaker measure " better " in a larger then recommended room size or smaller room or the exact reccimended size , assuming we all aware and consistent with what is meant with a small or large room...
