It seems to be a thing with most major brand devices to drop "smart features" as time goes on.
LG, Samsung and many other major brands dumb down their smart tv's as time goes on removing basic features, apps and in some cases even the ability to add apps.
Even Marantz AVR's have dropped support for certain online features in their latest firmware updates.
While it is obvious that technology is developing fast, these devices could be kept functional to a certain degree with software updates. I am not asking for new features, but at least to keep those that I had when I purchased the device.
