I have tested the Garrard and it runs "well".
I am going to contact Mike regarding the bearing so hopefully that's done.
Now, I am looking at the tone arm and trying to figure it out, but something's wrong here:
Not only do I think the bias adjuster is incorrect, but that black piece (circled) you see between the balance weight and pivot, is some sort of "saddle" that looks home-made.
I removed this, but then the whole balance and way rod shaft (B) sags down towards the arm base plate. It looks like the front of the arm (A) and (B) is connected with some foam rubber "stuff". I don't think this is correct.... :help:
