I thought this forum would be a good place to ask such a question, seeing as 90% of members are software developers.
At work we have a new ERP system that is implemented/in the process of being implemented. Its been dragging on a bit as ERP implementations does. One of the functions are working - a user can go in and get information - but it is partly incorrect. I queried this and got a stupid answer from the user department (not IT - I'm not going there.....) that the function is not yet approved for use and that they will send an email to that effect once it is ready for use. I'm getting into a bit of a stupid argument wit thisp**phol person which I don't really want to as I believe that incorrect functions must simply be blocked.
Is there some sort of IT/Software/Business standard that is not being followed here? If so, I can just tell him he's not complying this this or that standard and must scuffle off and do his job.
Please, oh IT gurus! :notworthy:
