I have recently been sent all of my father in law's records which had been in storage for 10 years.
I am working through the huge batch, amongst which I found 10 x 78's of mostly Classical music seemingly mainly originating from Germany.
Obviously I cannot play them, but about 8 of them seem to be in good shape, though very dusty, and 2 in poor shape with very visible scratches. The envelopes are all in rather poor shape.
My question is.....would anyone be interested in them? Do they have any value? If any, to whom? I don't just want to chuck them in a bin, but I am clueless as to what to do with them. I would rather see them in the hands of someone who attaches value to them and will keep them, and certainly not someone who intends making a profit off it!
