When Wolvebain graciously offered his recently acquired Sennheiser HD800 S to try out for a couple of days I gladly accepted.
The comparison with my very early legacy HD800's (S/N 007xx) threw up some surprising results. So surprising that I roped in Thomas24's more recent pair of "classic" 800's (S/N 06xxx IIRC) last night. Some Audeze LCD-2's and a trusty pair of HD650's completed the line-up. USB-fed Wadia 121 did source duty, and my weapons of choice in the amp department were Schiit Lyr and SPL Phonitor.
