I need help with a very old mono valve tt and tape player ( wire recorder ) it is made by Charleroi ACEC Electonique. It is really a stunning piece of history and in fair condition. I need some replacement valves and one is missing but I migh be able to track it down from the owner. My goal is to restore it and get it up and running. And my second mission is to find out what it is worth. I am a bit apprehensive to plug it in, do not want to damage it further.
I am a fan of valve audio but have know knowledge on the subject, can and where can one get replacement valves?
