I'm an avid collector of blu-ray movies and music, and I agree with all of Ken's point regarding why there is such a small and rather withering market in SA... I've been finding it particularly difficult to get new blu-rays since Raru went into liquidation a few years ago, along with nearly R4000 worth of blu-rays I had paid for and had been waiting for... I sometimes still get a small haul from Loot at reasonable prices, but most of my wishlist has been out of stock for as long as I can remember... I still maintain a wishlist on Takealot, but have all but given up hope of getting anything on there at a good price... I was hoping Amazon.co.za would bring blu-rays to our shores, but I should have known better. While I enjoy collecting blu-rays for some unexplainable reason, my main motivation for purchasing movies on blu-ray is for the uncompressed video and sound quality, and music on disk in Dolby Atmos is out of this world! My favourite so far is the Hans Zimmer live in Prag blu-ray in Dolby Atmos... best physical media investment to date.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5732482/I've sprung for a few 4K UHD disks so far, but I battle to swallow the R500 - R1000 a movie that I might only watch once...If any of you fellow collectors have some good blu-ray sources you can share, please do.
