Got the Sony STR-DA3300ES Multi channel AV Receiver.
One of the reasons I got it(a while ago) was for the multi room multi source capability.(http://www.electronichouse.com/slideshow/category/3376/589 - - dual-room/dual-source audio (powered and line-level stereo audio output for 2nd room; using powered 2nd-room output allows 5.1 home theater in main room) )
After making some changes in the house I was ready to test it this morning. Dug out the second remote and setup guide.
Low and behold not one mention of it in the manual.
Hitting google hard every reference points it can be done and when I downloaded the manual from the overseas site the whole procedure is described over 3 pages how to set it up.
Following the directions the menu item is just missing on my receivers setup
Now dont get me wrong, this receiver is identical in all other ways(including model number).
I emailed Sony SA so hope to receive an answer tomorrow.
After the mail I stumbled upon the sa archived link to this receiver (http://www.sony.co.za/product/str-da3300es/sku/strda3300esscel) and it clearly states
'Multi Room
Amp Relocation (7.1ch -> 5.1ch + 2.0ch) Yes '
Sincerely hope it is just something I am not doing right since I love my Sony
