Speaker cable for surrounds

I'm about to move into my new house and need to start considering cabling for my surround speakers. The cable will run in conduits and I have 2 systems to do (bedroom and lounge). The runs per speaker are just under the 10m each so looking at about 40m in total. Is it worth investing in a decent cable for surrounds or should I look at something like the 12 gauge from HD cabling at R9,90 a meter? All suggestions welcome
