I'm in the process of wrapping up a courtyard renovation that will leave me with a 82SQM courtyard, of which roughly 42SQM (7x6) is under tiled roof, with the remainder being open air, albeit effectively surrounded by the house. I've embedded conduit for speaker wiring in the front pillars supporting the roof and I'm intending to utilise an Acoustic Energy Aego-M 2.1 system in the under roof area (for no other reason than it's on hand and unused at present). The sub component will be placed on a shelf on one end of the under roof area, with the speakers located just inside the pillars on either side of the roof truss, looking back and down into the room. My experience listening to the setup in a similar sized area tells me they should be more than adequate for casual listening, whether wanting to turn it up a little or just have some stuff playing in the background.
So, after that long-winded intro, my question is this: what is the likely impact on the speakers and sub given they're effectively outdoors, albeit shielded from sun and rain?
