I've recently become sucked in to my home theatre system and really appreciating every aspect of it. While far from top of the line speakers that cost what second hand cars cost, my Polk RTi A7's are highly valued in my household. The cabinetry and overall design IMHO is remarkable...there was a time when I dreamed of owning speakers like these. I've now owned them for 3 years already.

They've seen very little use. Ever since I purchased a bedroom HT system from Vaughan my main system has been mostly neglected for the past year. I recently purchased Coldplay's Live 2012 Blu-ray concert and I'm back to nurturing and fussing over my system.  The speaker cabinets still have a high gloss and as per the manual, they've only been cleaned with a microfibre cloth and filtered water (okay, manual simply says water only, no chemicals).

I tend to remove the speaker grilles when enjoying a music concert simply because they look 100% better naked. I noticed the woofers were quite dusty so I used a microfibre cloth and water again to lightly dust them off.  I was reminded how soft tweeters are...yikes. I also noticed that the grommets where the speaker grills plug in to are peeling....don't think I can do anything about that.

What else can/should I do to take care of these babies?
