OK, so installed the wiring for my satellite speakers and when I stripped these for connection, I noticed that the core was quite thin. I would guess about 22 AWG (around 0.65mm).
My question/observation is: I don't think that this would make a marked difference in sound quality, especially to the rear speakers, which I feel is only there for effect. ???
The thumb suck specs for 22 AWG is around 1A capacity and 52 Ohm per km (in my case I'm using 10m lengths, so around 0.5 Ohm).
It would probably also not result in frequency losses, I suppose.
The mains and center carry hefty Ecosse cables.
Any comments?
